Dalton Loschen had two hits and Shawn Reardon homered as visiting A-P (1-9) won its first game last Wednesday. Jason Sollars struck out eight in 6 1/3 innings. Vaughn Black drove in three runs for the Hilltoppers (1-11). Teammate Syrus Sears had two RBI at Danville Stadium.

Blue Ridge 12, Armstrong-Potomac 0

Freshman pitcher Aaron Jayne fanned nine batters while firing his first varsity no-hitter as the Knights blanked the Trojans on Thursday. Alec Lyle smashed a single and a triple, and Drew Wells scored a run for the Knights (12-10).

Hoopeston Area 31, Armstrong-Potomac 1

Hoopeston Area baseball had 19 hits as they beat the Trojans 31-1. Ethan Smith had four hits and five RBI for the Cornjerkers. A-P is now 1-12 after Friday’s loss.

Armstrong-Potomac 11, Cissna Park 10

Nick Cannon roped an eighth-inning double to tie the game, and Reardon belted a walk-off single for the Trojans (2-11).

Armstrong-Potomac 13, Schlarman 12

Hayley Hambleton (three hits), Holley Hambleton and Natalie Schluter all scored two runs as A-P (4-11) won in Danville. Shortstop Holley Hambleton ended the game with an unassisted double play. Madi Gayheart picked up the pitching win last Wednesday.

Hoopeston Area 25 Armstrong-Potomac 6

Hoopeston Area softball had 12 hits as they beat A-P 25-6 on Friday. Ariel Reeves, Breanna Martin, Madi Pickettt and Emma Jett each had 2 RBI.

Watseka 13, Armstrong-Potomac 0

The Trojans (4-13) only mustered up a pair of hits against Magan Harris.
