Welcoming in Chief Tony Brown:

We are delighted that the Village Board has selected Deputy UI Police Chief Tony Brown as Rantoul’s new Chief of Police.

Chief Brown is a skilled, wise and compassionate law enforcement professional.

At the University of Illinois, he has been a valued member of the department’s leadership team – helping build a strong and positive relationship between the police force and the university community.

We know he will quickly earn the trust, respect and support of the Rantoul community too.

Welcome home, Chief Brown.

Thanking those who helped with Gifford car show:

We would like to thank everyone who helped us make our car show a BIG success this year.  With all the help we received, we were glad to be able to bring the car show back to Gifford after a 17-year absence.

The help and cooperation we received from the Gifford Celebration Committee was phenomenal!  We cannot thank you enough for all your hard work.  Our family and friends returned to help us, and we simply could not have done this without you.

Thank you to all the car show participants that brought your beautiful vehicles out for all of us to enjoy.  We hope to see you all again next year!  A very special thanks to our DJ, Chad Hoover with A & M Entertainment for a fantastic job with the music and trivia questions this year.  Your addition to our show was beyond amazing!

Also, thank you to all who donated door prizes.  They were a very big part of the day and we so very much appreciate your generosity.

Thank you to the food vendors, the Longbranch and the carhops, and Chloe and Connor Clements for the pop and water.

The Clements Family
