RANTOUL -- Two would-be robbers walked away from a Rantoul business without any money after they were thwarted by an employee Monday night.
Rantoul police Sgt. Rodney Sullivan said two men walked into Papa John's, 225 E. Congress Ave., about 9:29 p.m One of them displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee. The employee, however, refused to give them any money, and the pair left.
One was described as a young Black male, standing about 5-5, wearing a maroon-over-blue hoodie with a white stripe, dark pants and black boots.
The other was described as a young Black male, standing about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark gray hoodie, light-colored pants and black shoes with white soles.
Sullivan said there were no reported injuries, and the two were not located.
