CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Abigail Martin of Rantoul was named to the dean’s list for academic achievement during the spring semester at Austin Peay University.

To qualify for the list, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

DANVILLE — Two area residents earned bachelor of science in nursing degrees from Lakeview College of Nursing.

They are:

•  Ashley Wolfe of Rantoul. A 2010 graduate of Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School, she is a daughter of Richard and Rhonda Wolfe of Paxton.

• Morgan Zindars of Penfield. A 2014 graduate of Armstrong Township High School, she is a 2016 graduate of Parkland College. She is a daughter of Judy and Randall Zindars of Penfield.

CHAMPAIGN — Grant Jones of Rantoul soloed for the first time recently in a Piper Archer as part of instruction at the Institute of Aviation at Parkland College during the college’s spring semester.

CHAMPAIGN — Marco Vasquez of Rantoul and Jennifer Diesburg and William Young, both of Paxton, were among the Parkland College graphic design students who participated in the juried exhibition at The Giertz Gallery of Parkland College.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Weston Weber of Paxton graduated from the Citadel during the South Carolina Corps of Cadets commencement ceremony May 5.

The ceremony followed three days of the corps’ commencement-related actives, which included an awards convocation, commissioning ceremonies for cadets becoming military officers and The Citadel’s Long Gray Line parade.  

HARRISONBURG, Va. — Jeremy Good of Rantoul graduated with a bachelor of science degree in accounting during the 100th commencement ceremony May 6 at Eastern Mennonite University, Harrisonburg, Fa.

DANVILLE — Morgan Zindars of Penfield was recently inducted into the Lakeview College of Nursing Honor Society.

To be considered for the honor, each student was required to be within the top one-third of their graduating class, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and demonstrate leadership and service through their activities.
