Ina M. Peterson, 97, of Paxton, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Normal.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at First Lutheran Church, Paxton. The Rev. Jeff Cottingham will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Paxton.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral service.

Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peterson was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Rankin, a daughter of Kuno Gustav and Edna Manilla Peterson Seidel. She married Donald C. Peterson Sept. 10, 1938, in Paxton. He died July 4, 1976.

Surviving are two sons, William (Joyce) Peterson of Bloomington and Robert (Rita) Peterson of Raleigh, N.C.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marie Storrs and May Litzberg; and one great-grandson

Mrs. Peterson was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Paxton and the Ladies Aid of the church, having served as past president. She was a lifetime member of Eastern Star Prospect Chapter No. 367 and was a member of the Paxton Woman’s Club, having served as past local president and past district president.
