Barton, Lutes named Good Citizen winners

Rantoul Township High School seniors Kalista Lutes and Joseph Barton have been named Good Citizen winners by the Alliance Chapter of the National Society of

Daughters of the American Revolution and the Piankeshaw Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Lutes is a daughter of Prospero and Kathy Lutes of Gifford.

Barton’s parents are Patricia Souva and David Barton of Rantoul.

Lutes and Barton were selected by both faculty and their class as the seniors who best exemplify the qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism in their school, home and community.

The DAR school winners have also written essays that are entered into a scholarship competition. They will be honored at a joint DAR and SAR luncheon Friday, Feb. 8 at the Champaign Country Club.
