Krickovich named Exchange Club student of the month

Kyle Krickovich has been named the Rantoul Exchange Club student of the month.

He is a son of Patrick and Angie Krickovich of Rantoul.

The honoree ranks 11th in his senior class at Rantoul Township High School and carries a grade point average of 5.089.

His school activities have included marching band, student council, Eagle Mentoring Program, National Honor Society and madrigals.

He was first chair in marching band his junior year and was back up drum major as a sophomore.

His honors and awards have included Excellence in Drafting, membership in National Honor Society, high honor roll five times and academic letter.

Krickovich has been involved in a number of civic and volunteer activities, including a mission trip to West Virginia, Super Hero Day for the Wagner family, trunk or treat at American Lutheran Church, leadership lab at Augustana College, playing “Taps” for Memorial Day ceremonies, singing in the madrigals for residents at Brookstone Estates, stage hand in the school play and LEAD Conference for National Honor Society.

His work experience has included dishwasher at The Linden, newspaper carrier for Rantoul Press, scorekeeper for Rantoul Recreation Department and currently as a teller at Bank of Rantoul.

After high school he plans to attend Parkland College for two years, then transfer to Southern Illinois University, where he will major in aviation.
