Gordon to work as summer intern with Illini FS Inc.

Brian Gordon, a crop science major at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a participant in this year’s Growmark summer intern program.

He is a son of Bernard and Vickie Gordon of Rantoul.

As an intern, Gordon will spend 12 weeks working for Illini FS Inc. He will complete a special project coordinated through the company.

Gordon and 53 other interns will meet in August at Growmark headquarters in Bloomington to discuss their experiences and present a summary of their projects.

“Our internship program provides students hands-on experience in their field of study,” Ashley McClintock, Growmark university relations manager said. “We hope it also provides them an opportunity to clarify their future career goals.”

Growmark is a regional cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services, as well as grain marketing in 31 states and Ontario, Canada. Growmark owns the FS trademark, which is used by affiliated member cooperatives.
