Rantoul man arrested for Paxton burglaries


PAXTON — A Rantoul man was arrested Tuesday in connection with two burglaries that occured in Paxton.

Wesley J. Kintner, 26, was arrested at 1:47 p.m. in connection with the burglaries that occurred the day before.

One of the burglaries was on Allison Drive; the other was in the 300 block of West Orleans Street.

Kintner was paroled from the Illinois Department of Corrections on Jan. 18 after serving a sentence for vehicle theft and burglary. Following an investigation by Paxton police, he was found Feb. 26 hiding in an apartment at 1010 S. Washington St., Paxton.

Items stolen in the two burglaries were recovered at the apartment.

Kintner was arrested for two counts of residential burglary, a Class 1 felony; two counts of possession of stolen property, a Class 4 felony; one count of possession of burglary tools, a Class 4 felony; two counts of criminal damage to property, a Class 4 felony; and one count of criminal trespass to a residence, a Class A misdemeanor.

The IDOC’s parole division was notified of the arrest.
