The Village of Rantoul
is seeking a full-time
Pump-Station and Sanitary System
Under general supervision, this individual performs a variety of duties related to the storm water and wastewater collection systems. Duties include maintaining and repairing the components of the Village's sewer system; inspecting and maintaining pumps, valves, stand-by generators, SCADA system, and other machinery and equipment at the lift stations. This individual is also responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of the pump and lift station facilities, including responsibilities such as painting, mowing and snow removal.
This position requires knowledge, skill and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school. Experience with wastewater systems is preferred, as well as at least two years maintenance and repair experience of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Selected applicant must be willing to respond to emergencies at all times of the day and on weekends and will be required to live within a twenty mile radius of the corporate limits of Rantoul within six months after the completion of probationary period. A post-offer drug screen will be required of the selected applicant.
The typical starting wage range will be determined based on qualifications.
