Human Resources Specialist

The Village of Rantoul is seeking a permanent part-time Human Resources Specialist. Under general direction, this position develops and maintains record keeping and administers the Human Resources practices and procedures for the Village of Rantoul; provides guidance and assistance on employee benefits and employee communications for approximately 130 full time employees and several hundred part time employees. Some examples of responsibilities include: job openings processing, maintain employee files, salary administration, benefit administration and compensation equity. Completion of a four year degree with an emphasis in human resource management, personnel and/or organizational development and at least two years of experience in the HR function of an organization. Experience in computer applications is required, including, but not limited to, Excel and Word.

The selected applicant will be required to live within a twenty mile radius of the corporate limits of Rantoul within six months after the completion of a six month probationary term. A post-offer drug screen will be required of the selected applicant. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
