Technology Coordinator

for immediate employment. The primary duties of the Technology Coordinator will be to: Support and assist users with computer hardware and software; Install, configure, and maintain servers and computers; Configure and maintain network infrastructure; Assist with VOIP phone system and surveillance camera operations; Provide advice on software and hardware upgrades; Be responsible for maintaining technology hardware throughout the school district; and Maintain accurate inventory records and maintenance logs. Microsoft and/or Cisco certifications preferred as well as experience with Microsoft Server, Switching and Routing, workstation imaging, and help desk operations. Salary will be determined by the Tri-Point Board of Education based on the experience and education level of the final candidate. The Village of Rantoul is seeking qualified individuals to fill Volunteer, paid, on-call Firefighter positions within the Rantoul Fire Department. Under general supervision, these individuals perform firefighting duties, including responding to incidents, attending on-going training, and operating firefighting apparatus and equipment. These positions require knowledge, skill and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school, along with a valid Illinois Driver's license. Additionally, applicants must be able to be certified as a Fire Fighter Basic within three years of appointment on the Fire Department. Applicants will be required to pass a physical abilities test and a written examination, as well as a background/criminal check. Successful applicants are required to reside within the Rantoul corporate limits and be at least 21 years old.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

The Village of Rantoul is seeking a full time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Under general supervision, this individual performs a variety of duties related to wastewater treatment procedures and maintenance of related equipment. Duties include monitoring and regulating the treatment process, taking samples, performing laboratory testing, monitoring and utilizing equipment control systems (SCADA), making necessary adjustments to ensure treatment results are compliant with standards and regulations, and maintaining all related logs and files. The selected candidate will inspect, repair, service, and clean equipment to ensure effective treatment results. This individual is also responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds of the wastewater treatment facility, including responsibilities such as painting, mowing and snow plowing.

This position requires knowledge, skill, and intellectual development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school. Experience with wastewater treatment systems is preferred, as well as at least two years mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair experience. A post-offer drug screen will be required of the selected applicant. The operator must possess a valid Illinois driver's license upon hire and, prior to the completion of probationary period, must obtain a valid CDL license, which will require participation in an ongoing random drug testing program.

The annual starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, along with a competitive benefits package. The selected applicant will be required to live within a twenty mile radius of the corporate limits of Rantoul within six months after the completion of a six month probationary term and must be willing to respond to emergencies at all times of the day and also during inclement weather conditions.
