We seek applicants who can lift 50 lbs, with a high school diploma and excellent customer service skills to perform operations tasks, including clean-up, rail car loading and unloading, and other associated tasks for varied shifts.

Airport Line Service

Technician

The Village of Rantoul is seeking a full time Airport Line Service Technician. Under general supervision of the Airport Manager this position performs aviation related activities at the Rantoul National Aviation Center airport, both flight and non-flight, to ensure adherence to a secure, safe and efficient airport operation and maintenance of aviation equipment grounds and buildings. This position is directly responsible for the routine servicing of sometimes multi-million dollar aircraft. He or she will greet, direct, park, and secure aircraft arriving at this Airport. In that capacity, this individual is the first person the customer encounters and imparts the valuable first impression of Rantoul. Beyond the customer service aspect of the position, the Line Service Technician, duties and responsibilities are: Aircraft Towing, Aircraft Parking, Hangar Movements, Aircraft Fueling, Fuel Farm Management, Aircraft Security, Passenger Transportation and Some Snow Removal. Requires knowledge of aviation and the requirements of airport fuel management. Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulations related to airport safety, aircraft handling, and aircraft fueling. Previous line experience preferred.

Airframe & Power

Plant Mechanic

(Part Time)

The Village of Rantoul is seeking a Part-Time Airframe & Power Plant Mechanic. Under general supervision of the Airport Manager this position will be performing routine and non-routine maintenance on general aviation fleet of aircraft, while also performing tasks as assigned by the Airport Manager including acting as an Airport Line Service Technician. An Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic will need to interact with customers and ensure all work is completed to FAA specifications and industry standards. This position requires an individual to hold an Airframe and Power Plant Certificate issued by the FAA. Individual must maintain this certificate, throughout his/her employment, additionally this position requires experience in performing an annual inspection and100 hour inspection on single and multi-engine aircraft. Illinois driver's license required
