Circulation Coordinator

Help News-Gazette Media with its weekly and daily newspaper circulation. Part-time coordinators move, stack and help load newspaper bundles onto trucks and vehicles at 3202 Apollo Drive, Champaign IL for delivery to the consumer.

Applicants must have:

** Shifts start at 1:30am

** Hours may range from 4 hours to 8 hours a

day; 5 shifts per week; averaging 25

hours a week

** Excellent attendance required

** Driver's license, good driving record,

and insurable

** Capable of operating a pallet jack

** Lifting maximum of 25# of newspapers,

bundled

** Standing, lifting, bending, turning and walking

safely, continuously, for several hours

** Ability to assist, when needed, in delivering

down newspaper routes

** Weekend work will be required.

Starting pay is $9/hr. Benefits include

401k pension plan eligibility

Computer Technician -

Rantoul Police Department

The Rantoul Police Department is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Computer Technician. Under general direction, this employee performs technical changes, transfers, and repairs of various computer and electronic equipment for the Police Department, along with performing routine approved preventative maintenance. They will also coordinate the maintenance of all electronic and communications equipment for the department and offer technical expertise to solve electronic or mechanical problems that may arise.

Candidates must have knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two years of college with an emphasis in electronics and computers. The successful candidate would have at least 2 years of experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment. A working knowledge of specific equipment used in data processing, the ability to read schematics and blueprints, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems are also required.

The annual starting salary is $39,375+, dependent on qualifications, plus a competitive benefits package. Residency within twenty miles of the Village's corporate limits within six months of completing the six month probationary period is required. OF PUBLIC WORKS

The Village of Rantoul, Illinois is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Director of Public Works. The Village of Rantoul is a vibrant and diverse community with a population of 13,000, centrally located between Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. This position assists the Director of Public Works in the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of the department. The Assistant Director supports Village administration with the planning, design, and modifications to the Village utility infrastructure; reviews alternatives on Village projects thus requiring engineering experience; oversees construction and maintenance of utility system improvements including roadways, natural gas mains, electric generating and distribution facilities, airport, water, sanitary, storm water, HVAC and other Village utility needs; interacts with community residents and businesses; develops capital and operational budgets.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering. The desired candidate would have at least 2 years of increasingly responsible engineering experience in a municipality (or equivalent). The successful candidate should have knowledge of work performed in public utility operations, as well as a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations related to construction, planning and zoning, and environmental issues. The annual starting salary is $85,000+, dependent on qualifications, plus a competitive benefits package.
