The Village of Rantoul is seeking a Full Time Permanent Maintenance Mechanic. Under general supervision, maintains the vehicles and wheeled equipment of all the Village departments, performing scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs to the equipment using a variety of tools and equipment as necessary. As a full time permanent position, this position comes with a comprehensive benefits package to include items such as paid vacation and personnel days, medical, dental and vision coverage and life insurance. Selected applicant will be required to live within a twenty mile radius of the corporate limits of Rantoul within six months after the completion of a six month probationary term. Possession or the ability to acquire a valid State of Illinois CDL Vehicle Operators License is required. A post-offer drug screen will be required of the selected applicant. Starting salary is competitive and will be based on the selected applicant's qualifications.
